Bell Ribero-Addy

Labour Party MP for Streatham, House of Commons

Bell Ribeiro-Addy currently represents the people of Streatham in the British Parliament. She is a black working-class woman, Christian, and a lifelong socialist who stands for fairness, respect, equality, honesty and natural trepidation.

Bell Ribeiro-Addy was born and raised on Brixton Hill, a place noted for its long history of activism, community and faith. Shaped by these values, they continue to drive her in the discharge of her duties. As the Chief of Staff and Political Advisor to Diane Abbott, they worked together in exposing the Windrush Scandal which forced Amber Rudd’s resignation as Home Secretary.

As a Member of Parliament, trade unionist and Labour Campaigner, she supports joined-up youth services; education and job-creation schemes that promote decent pay and unionisation. She opposes precarious work contracts, scapegoating of migrants, and inadequate social housing. She supports investing in clean energy and campaigns for protecting and investing in the National Health Service (NHS) by giving it proper funding.
